Friends with benefits
Have you ever been friends with benefits with someone? I am not sure if I have or not. I have had sexual contact with a few of my friends of the opposite sex, but it was just once.

RE: Friends with benefits
I have, I suppose, since it was sometimes more than once with the same friend, but I never referred to them that way. They were just my friend.

RE: Friends with benefits
I had something like this going on at one time. I thought we were just friends, and just happened to be sexually attracted to each other. It was great... until one day she decided that she was in love with me. That sucked for both of us, but I think she got the worst part of that deal.

RE: Friends with benefits
Rajen, what happened after that? Were you guys able to get through it and stay friends, or no? I have heard that sometimes these things can cause destruction of a friendship.

RE: Friends with benefits
I think it can be extremely difficult to have a friend with benefits. One person tends to feel stronger than the other and it can sometimes get messy and ruin a good friendship.

I would prefer a good friend, but I would not want to mix those desires up. |

RE: Friends with benefits
No,no and no I would not have any sexual relations with anybody who was not in a relationship with me. I think I am worth the investment of their time and attention and I don't want to just get used.

RE: Friends with benefits
I think I could do it if I just wanted to have a sexual relationship. I think it's nice to have somebody to at least be able to be physical with if you are not into having a relationship yet. It can complicate things but it could also be fun.

RE: Friends with benefits
It's fine to have a friendly relationship where you just have sex with somebody but it's not going to work out for everybody. Everybody has a different idea of what an ideal relationship is and some people don't want to actually be in a relationship.

RE: Friends with benefits
Well after I found out that she had very strong feelings for me, I tried to distance myself. We still talk, but very little. I've seen evidence that she probably wont ever see me as just a friend.
