True Blood
I started watching True Blood in the middle of season 2 and I must say this show is great. I love the vampires and other paranormal creatures in the middle of such a normal atmosphere.

RE: True Blood
I like the show as well. Sure, it is mostly riding on the Twilight vampire hype, but the show itself is actually fairly well done.

RE: True Blood
I'm pretty sure True Blood came out a bit before Twilight. I wouldn't compare them at all though. True Blood is incredibly more geared toward an adult audience. They are reaching for very different markets.

RE: True Blood
I can't lie here... I heard about True Blood in a magazine for the first time. I saw it on TV and switched it on. First impression is this: I thought it was an old 80's version of the show, but I later found out that I was watching this critically acclaimed program. I have friends that watch it and love it, but I hear it's half snuff film half every-paranormal-creature-ever series. Can't do it lol.

Yes, True Blood! Love it! I usually didn't like vampire shows but I started watching this one and it is great. Some of the scenes were shocking to me, though. But that is what producers are probably striving for...shock and awe. That what makes it such a great hit.

I'm not sure what you mean? It's on HBO so it has very good graphics. It doesn't give me an 80s feel at all. It's not part snuff film either. It does have a lot of paranormal creatures but that's the point of the show, in my opinion. It's also based on a series of books that features many paranormal creatures, so it's to be expected.

RE: True Blood
Did anybody catch the finale? They killed off quite a few characters, didn't they? I am excited to see what happens next season. I can't believe we have to wait another year for it to come back!

Another year???!!! Nooooo!!! Tara got shot in the head on the last finale. I am so mad! I hope she doesn't die. She is one of my favorites. I think she is such a good actress. I love her. Please, don't kill her off!!

RE: True Blood
It was a bold move for them to have Tara get shot. Marnie, I hear that Tara is going to come back in some form or another. Maybe Lafayette, as a medium, will have access to her ghost or something. Maybe she will be made a vampire? That would be a weird form of irony since she hates vampires so much.

Yipeeeee!!! I just had a thought. Wouldn't it be cool if they brought Tara back as a fairy, just like her best friend Sookie? That would be interesting!
